Judges 2:3
KJV(i) 3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
YLT(i) 3 And I also have said, I do not cast them out from your presence, and they have been to you for adversaries, and their gods are to you for a snare.'
These are my thoughts.
The world will always have temptations for us the church but we need to trust in Him to overcome.

Judges 2:4

Being presented with God brings emotion.

Judges 2:5
KJV(i) 5 And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD.
YLT(i) 5 and they call the name of that place Bochim, and sacrifice there to Jehovah.
These are my thoughts.
Even during times of mourning we need to continue serving and praising the Lord.

Judges 2:7
KJV 7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.
YLT 7 and the people serve Jehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who prolonged days after Joshua, who saw all the great work of Jehovah which He did to Israel.
These are my thoughts.
We should not have to see great works to serve the Lord.

YLT 6 And Joshua sendeth the people away, and the sons of Israel go, each to his inheritance, to possess the land;
These are my thoughts.
We are possess what is for us. The greatest thing the Lord has for us is a relationship with Him.

These are my thoughts.
Death will come to us all; the time we serve the Lord is the time that counts the most.

These are my thoughts.
We all are going to one day die, how will we be remembered.

Judges 2:10
KJV 10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.
YLT 10 and also all that generation have been gathered unto their fathers, and another generation riseth after them who have not known Jehovah, and even the work which He hath done to Israel.
These are my thoughts.
We need to set the example for later generation for serving the Lord by us first serving the Lord.

Judges 2:11
KJV 11 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
YLT 11 And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and serve the Baalim,
These are my thoughts.
Serving something other Him is the extant of evil, all things that are wrong are done because we are putting sin before Him.
